The O-Line Coach Has Really Turned Them Around

I said in the beginning of this year that the season will be decided by OL and DL play. Both sides of the ball showed up Saturday. We actually pushed them around in parts of the game. We do need a QB but Maurer has showed some promise. We can win the next 5 if they show up the rest of the season. If they don't show up we can't be G State.

In b4 someone gives all the credit to Chaney
Group effort. Coach Fulmer mentioned before Pruitt got here I think he said noone benching 400 lbs and now we have several of those guys. So Friend, Chaney, strength coach and the young fellas putting in the work. Plus those freshmens ceiling is so high they were bound to improve as season progressed. So they all should accept compliment collectively.

Think it’s chaney.

Started to get better after he took over the line.

This O-line is talented, make no mistake. In time, they will be great, but each week they are showing improvement and the desire to be the best.

It was a combination of both with extra work that did this. For most of fall camp, and I am sure during the weekly practices as well, Chaney and Friend alternated between coaching the interior linemen and tackles.
