he couldn't beat the worst offense florida has had in years, there's no chance against georgia, and I doubt they'll do anything with LSU either
they went 4-8 just a few years ago. we lost to that team too.
Ha, well done. One must consider the source on VN.Thing is, scooter...you don't give lessons. You spout nonsense that defies reason and dismisses logic. That may work at the asylum and I'm darn proud that you were able to gnaw through the straps of your special jacket and find a computer, but it's evident that winning out (minus the one loss as you mention) is unlikely given the current body of work that the staff have put together with the resources they have. That is what I know.
To be honest, I'm starting to waiver on jones for precisely those reasons. Either he's stubborn or he doesnt learn or he's not capable of doing things differently. Suspect it's a combination. He's a PlayStation coach who's learned a bunch of cliches and spouts off about 4 year studies to try and convince folks he's actually very smart. He's personable and can relate to kids which is why he recruits so well. The key to his survival is in recognizing great coaching talent and surrounding himself with it. If he fails at that and/or continues to surround himself with buddies he knows for the sake of personal comfort, his future at UT doesn't look bright. Saturday's will continue to expose him. Sadly, I think we are about to go through another coaching search. If Butch were capable, he'd have changed by now. As the op pointed out, this is more of the same. We got practically a new staff, but we keep seeing games like Saturday. Butch is, unfortunately, the common denominator. Just cannot see more than 7 wins and frankly, I'd say 6 is very likely the number.
I think QD is our QB I think he will be a QB that developes as the season goes on.. but like you said roll the dice start QD and give most of the time to JG and see what he has... I agree let's see what the freshman has.. open the playbook up now and stop playing tight
I am for letting him go immediately, he has proved time and again that he can't manage a game. Probably won't happen but Mr Currie should have his coach in waiting at seasons end.
Man, I hope you are right. I WANT you to be right SO bad it pains me as a Vol fan. And I trend more towards the sunshine pumpers than the NegaVol territory. But I struggle to see how we will get past Georgia with that kind of game play and play calling. If we somehow beat Georgia, I will take a sigh of relief and cautiously believe that we are CAPABLE (key word) of winning all but the game against the evil elephants. But right now, I am questioning our capability to pull it off.
