I feel like we've got hot at the right time. The bottom of the lineup is getting production and pitching is holding it's own. If we can avoid a let down early I think we pull it out. What say ye?

With what we've seen from this team as of late, I think anything is possible.

They really don't have anything to lose. Like 66 pointed out, we just beat them in the first game of that shortened series.

I like our chances versus Arky. I think one of the most interesting things for us is the size of the park and the way the top of our line up tries to hit to all fields, the gaps are really big...of course they probably feel the same. I think it's going to come down to Cox and him getting off to a good start and lasting. If he can give at least 5 innings, we have a chance.

How far is Avondale from the Galleria area?

If we can get 5 from Cox then 2 from both KS and Lee, we'll be in good shape. I'm not ready for baseball to end. Football is too far away.

I'm with ya, would really be nice if these guys could make a little run...not holding my breath, but it would be nice.

It would be nice if we could get Benny Baseball to look human tomorrow. Keep the bases empty when he is up.

Galleria about 17 miles from Avondale. Maybe you'll pass us enroute from Homewood. GBO! :hi:

Lee needs to pitch no more than an inning a game. More than that then we are likely in trouble and would lose his arm for a game or two.

Best case scenario. We win without a save situation on Tues night and Lee is bored in the dugout.

We are playing better but it's still basically one game. One game in a sport where the best team has a 67% chance of winning at most any given night.

So, we're in a position where we must win game #1 to reach the main draw.

Arkansas is still trying to be a host in regional play and need this win- and several others to do so. The Top 4 teams are all pretty secure and likely have earned national seeds- Vanderbilt with that last loss MAY be on border, but they will host regional.

The top seeds save their pitching for the last 3-games and really are not upset if they lose early as they go home and have extra rest going into regional play. If they win their first 1 or 2 games then the go ahead and go for the title.

Tennessee, Alabama, and South Carolina will be throwing all they've got into this tourney and will be tough outs for the higher-seeded teams.

Chatting with USC "Hoot Man"(Gamecock Bill) at SEC Tournament today. Diamond Vols play Arky soon. Nice to see more BIG ORANGE arriving at Hoover Met Stadium!

Auburn 5 UK 3 top 9th..this game will complete the undercard..now on to the main event! Vols vs Hogs!
