Ok, ok - maybe not the cup. We WILL make the playoffs this coming season.

We've had a helluva off season. Picked up Evander Kane the the draft (touted as the next Jarome Iginla) and traded some players to get Antropov and Kubina - a top 6 FWD and a top 4 DEF.

Deals are in the works to Kovy's contract extention. (he's not leaving)

If we keep Lehtenon healthy, we will have all the pieces for a serious playoff run.

Thrashers are back.

ditto, although my season tix are with the washington capitals :) I made the final payment on them this week so that got me even more excited.

Got Kovy to sign one of my old sticks last time I watched them practice. That guy is a class act- always has time for the kids. And a lot bigger in person than I thought he'd be!

Met Koslov and Lehtonen too - they aren't very friendly.

the hawks might be the most talented team in the league.

Thrashers are doing better than most expected as well. Max Afinogenov might be the free agent aquisition of the year

i hate to sounds brash, but it'll be a disappointment if the hawks don't get to the stanley cup. i still don't like huet in goal, but they can't do anything because of his big contract. the predators have been on a roll lately.

Hockey,Soccer, & Baseball need more scoring! If they scored more I could probably watch it more. It kills me to watch a hole game that final score is 1-0 or a game that goes into O.T. To score the 1st points or goals. Never watched soccer or hockey in person but Baseball I enjoy watching in person. Maybe Hockey is same way. Only thing I understand about hockey is when they throw the gloves off and fight! That's one rule I absolutly love about hockey!!!! More sports should pick it up! Let em fight and if they do just put em in time out for a little bit! But reading this thread I learned something new! So Tenn. Has a hockey team? Didn't know that! Are we any good?

It's back to arguably the best spectator sport ever created to reach it's climatic beginning of the end, of a season, that has matched such fierce competition for Lord Stanley's Cup........the Holy Grail is within sight

I'd love to see some hockey talk myself. Been to see the Preds and Ice Bears number of times, and have been hooked since the '88 Olympics on the sport. Go Kings!
