After watching both films of Fergusen and dobbs again I really saw no reason why anyone can say either will beat out Worley or peterman next season. Now if we want to go the "no game plan route", ala tx a&m last yr, that's a different story.

After reading this whole thread I have determined that the OP has an agenda to promote the black QB simply b/c he is black. Which is his prerogative, ala bobby brown style, but that has to be taken into account for his future posts on the matter.

I never said anything about color. We want to win again in tennessee. Talent win not color. Go back and read my post.

So you're saying Peyton Manning's not talented just because he didn't win a National Championship at Tennessee? Because if I recall correctly, he was the sole reason why we didn't win that year in your eyes. This thread's a joke.

I didn't say anything about color. Again in tennessee we are second to none. Its time to get back on top. I love Manning style of play but he couldn't do it in knoxville. Inky Johnson's Motivational Speech To The Vols On April 13, 2013 - YouTube DONT SEE NO COLOR JUST WINNING.....

If the man does work as soon as he steps on campus, he has a shot at getting playing time. I don't think it would take much for him to become the starter. Worley just doesn't impress me. Don't really know much about Peterman.

Like I said, I think it was coach-speak. The point is his word, whether heartfelt or not do denote the attitude any football should have. It's my belief that everybody is a racist whether they know or accept it or not. We're all ethno-centric by default to varying degrees. But we can still learn from one another.

tennessee must win a national championship in football in the next 6 years. No reason not to with the players we are starting to get. If we don't we will be the middle of the sec team for decades to come. No excuses anymore now that players are coming in. Get it done.

Dobbs looks raw, but his quick/short throwing motion still seems to get the ball downfield, and quick. It could be a nice fit in the new system. Time will tell...

He didn't say it "worked out good". He said he was the last QB who could move outside the pocket and extend a play. He was absolutely 100% correct.

The kid had sick mobility and was undefeated as a true FR starter, before injury and character issues derailed a bright future.

Dude, I'm all for winning 6 in the next 6 years, but it might be good to temper it a little here. "No Reason" not to win one? MUST win one. Man, it took like 47 years to win "another one" the last time.

We had been recruiting lights out for like 7 or 8 years before we finally won it in 98'/99'. If the "pass interference at SU is no-called", or "UF does not fumble into our ez", or "Stoerner doesn't lay the ball on the field", then we are out of that NC! Remember, we were nowhere near favored in that Fiesta Bowl.

I'm not saying we backed in, or lucked up, or were not deserving. We were and earned it 100%. What I am saying is that these NC thingys are hard to win. It takes many top recruiting classes, the situationally right coaching, right mix of players, solid long term player development, and always a little bit of luck along the way. A lot of very good programs are after it too.

We can legitimately do it, but man I don't think we can put ultimatums like that on it. JMO.

The administration of the University of Alabama called the shots, not Bear Bryant. They were allowed as soon as the fans became more tolerant of the civil rights issue, and as soon as others blazed the trail. Don't blame Bear Bryant. He was just the football coach. If you didn't live in Alabama at the time, you really shouldn't be so harsh on him.

You're joking right? 1 decent recruiting class and we should win the nc. I'd be happy with just being in the mix. If we're 1 of the top5-10 programs consistently for a period of time we'll have a chance. But just a chance. It takes circumstances out of our control to win it all. Such as schedule, key losses late in the season by other top ranked programs, and a bit of luck. I'd settle for competing for the sec c consistently.
