dominated last night,

Bray, Kingsburg rout Taft in D-IV - Sports - Fresnobee.com

Nearly 4,000 fans on the home side watched with delight as Bray passed for 256 yards and accounted for six touchdowns before heading to the bench after three quarters. Five came through the air, and the last came on a 4-yard run complete with a takeoff and helicopter landing in the end zone a la John Elway.

I know it should be on the recruiting board, but I felt the main forum needed some good news.

Thanks for sharing! Just wondering out loud here, how stiff is the competition he faces? I know with BB, some said he was overrated because he played in Kansas. Surely this isnt the case with Bray right?

I would say that California has more talent in one city than the whole state of kansas.

Depends what city you're talking about. Doesn't Bray go to a small school in a small town and or city? Let's not exaggerate here. I think he'll be great but I highly doubt the teams he is playing have anywhere near that talent of even the best school in Kansas. From everything I've read, Bray's high school plays a bunch of scrubs. Sounds like he and maybe one or two other players make up the entire team. If that's the case, that should kind of tell you about the talent he is facing. None. That doesn't mean he won't be a stud. Obviously he is because he is dominating them on his own.

Lets not forget guys, when kiffin first started coaching crompton, JC was a pathetic excuse for an SEC QB. He only made one read, got rattled by defenders, and had no confidence. This yr he threw 26 Td passes. If thier is one thing i think we don't need to worry about as long as we have kiffin, its QB play. He's proven he can coach em up, and i think bray has the tools and kiffin will show him how to use them

I agree. I am also happy because Tyler is an EE. This gives him so much more time to develop and learn the playbook. It gives him a huge advantage going into summer and fall camp.

Surely this is gonna play out however the coaches steer it to playing out, but seems like if Bray stars for us immediately, it could scare off 2011 qb recruits who would say, hell, they got a freshman star who is gonna be the guy for a long while. But if he is brought along a bit more slowly with Stephens in a care-taker role next year, we could also get one or two blue-chips in the 2011 class before unleashing Bray on the SEC. I know I am fretting too far in advance, but just pondering. Thoughts?

I mean you're right. But most top qb recruits think they can beat anyone though (ie Scroggins vs Barkley). Plus, we won't have any effective backup after this year. So we will need another to compete for the starting job. Competition is what Kiffin is all about. He will tell all qb recruits that they can come in and compete for the stating job.

Good points. We'll see what happens.

Tyler will be here in one week. His hometown paper said he will be flying in next Friday and will get to practice with the team 5 times before the bowl game.

Good info and excellent points. Thanks to all.
I just feel we have the right core staff for the job. I know the future is a wait and see but another class or two like we're seeing now and look out world.

What about Mike Fromke or Nick Stephens? Fromke has improved a lot and Stephens has been in the system for a couple years

Love how they said Barkley was the best coming out of high school in 10 years and he lead USC to their worst finish in 10 years. Now a skinny kid holding offers from San Deigo State and Fresno State is your savior. Sad UT fans...very sad. Tenn's next QB will be winning Heismans at Clemson. The other Clemson QB already decided to transfer as he knows what will happen next time since Tajh is now healthy. Great job Jane on keeping a top 3 recruiting class together. Also, of all the people on UTs radar and current roster, BJ Coleman will be the best pro. Wait and see.

Why don't you go back to Clemson and wish you could be in the SEC. Great Job with USCjr by the way. :post-4-1090547912:
