There is a Wal-Mart a couple of miles up Volunteer Parkway from Bristol Motor Speedway. I am in it almost every day and am watching the two main aisles in the grocery department being stuffed with beer of every name and brand.
So, as I am going down the aisle I say to one of the beer guys. "It looks like you are planning to sell a lot of beer in a couple of weeks!" He responds, "Yeah, it's gonna be crazy here. There will be 20,000 fans here with no tickets."
The thought occurred to me that Bristol will probably own the title, "Tailgate City, USA" on September 10. :welcomec:

You're in Walmart almost everyday. God help you. My wife used to work for them and now I can't get her to go near the place. LOL

How does one go from talking beer, football and Bristol Motor Speedway to ending the post with a rainbow welcome sign? :loco:

Beer in a Walmart? Man that's crazy talk! Come to Pennsylvania where the state controls it like the gold in fort knox!

At moments like this, I miss California. Beer, wine, and liquor in grocery stores.

Also in drugstores, although some didn't sell tobacco for health reasons, which I found entertaining.

For a couple of days it really could turn into the Battle of Beerville.

160,000 people and only 20,000 cases of beer could spell RIOT, LOL!
