Wow, and in just 2 1/2 years.

That's ****ing crazy
King played 76 games at U.T. and averaged 25.8 ppg and 13.2 rebounds. Stokes has already played 86 games and averages 13.0 ppg and 9.7 rebounds. King averaged twice as many points and 35% more rebounds.

Although Stokes is a very accomplished player, he isn't in King's league yet. I saw King play a lot in Knoxville.

I think this meant single season, correct? I'm seeing him still being around 300 behind the all time career leader Gene Tormohlen and 7th place all time. But one more season would likely put him in first.

That could be it possibly.

I'm really not sure what you are getting at, but King was a forward, who was 6'6". in college. The NBA later listed him as 6'7.

I know that we had a 7 footer then Bob Brykalski, and Kentucky had two 6'10" players, one was Rick Robey. I don't remember King as ever being the tallest guy on the court.

The Twin Towers, Robey and Phillips. Plus Bama had the exceptional Leon Douglas.

King was faster off the floor than anyone I've ever saw in basketball, period. That was why get got all those rebounds. He also had the fastest shot around. What Stokes is doing now numbers wise, was basically King in every game he played at UT for 3 years.

Yes, it's single season. Gene had the record at 384, Jarnell now has 386. I'm hoping that after Michigan he becomes the only player we ever had with 400 rebounds in a season.

I have made the same statement about King getting off the floor and his shot. I'm glad that I am not alone in thinking that.
