The reason he would leave would have nothing to do with the negavols, they are annoying, but do you honestly thing CBP patrols message boards from time to time?

He would leave if he got more money, or an offer from a more prestigious program.

I agree some of the posts are getting out of hand, but somehow I think Bruce sleeps just fine at night and doesn't worry about what some people on heer say. If all coaches worried about posts like this, no one would ever coach.

If a coach is so thin-skinned that he would get his feelings hurt be reading things on an Internet message board, then he's probably in the wrong profession.

Sadly, the same people that are attacking Pearl (who's only been here 3 years) are the same one's that defend Fulmer...

I guess Bruce is mediocre. Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over. I can't wait to hear the new slogans these people make up about Bruce if we have a rebuilding year next year.

What's even more sad is the same people who bash Fulmer use Bruce's success against Fulmer becasue somehow basketball and football are the same. And your statement has no factual basis. It's just another jab at Fulmer and everyone who thinks he isn't the worst coach in football history.

ever school has their nega fans. personally, it's amazing that we have been to back to back sweet sixteens, an won 31 games. who would've ever thought this would happen. not only that but Bruce has only been here for 3 yrs. if Bruce stays which I think he will, we have a bright future

Does reaching the Sweet 16 = reaching a second tier bowl game in football?

There's going to be some negativity after a tough loss. People are emotional. They care a great deal about UT and when things don't go as we would like them, people get upset and this is a way of venting. It will blow over in a few days and everybody will focus on Football season and then the cycle will continue.

I think Tennessee can continue to be a nationally recognized program. Like anyone we are in a learning curve. We had our best year ever, made our second consecutive Sweet 16, Beat a #1 team in the country at there home, We had a really great year, but we are still in a learning curve and that goes for our players and our coach. Last night Pitino, who is more experienced in this caliber of basketball, out coached Pearl and their players were able to settle down and take control of the game. We be hanging a banner up if BP stays at UT, within 5 years.

That is a good question. From a financial perspective, what is the basketball payout for reaching the sweet 16?

Payout in Basketball is nowhere near what a bowl is. I heard the Memphis AD say on the radio that last year them making it to the elite eight only allowed them to clear about 150K. It is spilt up so much more among all schools and not schools within the conference.

The worst anybody could say is "one year since his last SEC (regular season) title"...

No.

Sounds more like the definition of repetition.
