Yep. The fact that we can take a team with such a young core, go right into Bama's house and hang with them for 60 minutes is an awesome sign of things to come. Sucks that we didn't pull it out, but I feel better about the future of Tennessee football now than I did before the game.

This. Everyone in the college football world including our own fans projected today to be a major ass whooping for the vols, but the staff prepared the team well and they showed up ready to give Bama a run for their money - and DID. Proud of our team and feel good about the future of the program.

I don't even use this phrase in any fashion (moral victory). Our record does not show it, but NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY THE VOLS!!!! Tennessee is on its way back to being very well respected & you would have thought Bama just won the national championship with their victory celebration. Go VOLS!!!!

No such thing as moral victories. You win it you lose and we lost. We have showed obvious progression in the right direction but that does little to take the sting away. I guess the only positive is that two years ago we got smoked by Bama . Last year we competed and today we should have won.

I've said since CBJ took the job 2016. Alabama loses all to graduation except three on offense and we come back fully loaded. It's over next year.

Vandyitus is the loser mentality. They played heck of a game though. But toooo many of these types of loses. Blown chances more times than not.
