If not for the perception about his "connection" to PSU situation, he would be here now. Note: I use quotes because the truth may never be known.

I think that's right. Lots of other reasons to be less than thrilled at the prospect of Schiano as our head coach and the way the powers-that-be went about moving to hire him, but the PSU business was a big red flag for many and yes he may have been basically blameless in that regard but it can never be proven.

Completely disagree! Well almost! I do agree the national media got it wrong as far as during the circus they proclaimed "Not a chance we get a good Coach now" well they were wrong!! Dead wrong! Even some felt we did not deserve one. I had leach Mullens and several others. Did not see this coming! Thank you Coach FULMER! What a pleasant surprise. Thank you for not hitting the panic button like the most of us. And using your wisdom and the respect you carry To not only bring us a high caliber future but really enjoying the quality of staff that this obvious respected Coach is bringing together. A True SEC EXPERIENCED COACHING CREW. Competition will be tough recruiting. Period! Like Coach P. Said " Don't worry bout the ones we didn't get! Focus on the ones we did!...AIGHT!

I agree,Fulmer came in a calmed
things down when it was out of control.He let things die down by lying low and staying out of the media. The coach he selected would have been ok with me if the Schiano mess had never happened.Some coaches played us but very few schools did better than Tn in our hiring.

Yes, give Fulmer his due credit here. He came into a situation that was out of control and yes, calmly righted the ship, and in his typical low key style to boot. Total class, and he saved UT's *ss.
