The most painful scenario

Do any of you really think Butch Jones is happy about this season? A decent man has tried to stay positive and not humiliate his players in public, but behind the scene, I am sure he is trying to figure this out. From my perspective, a lot of this season can be heaped on the offensive coordinator. The offense has never looked ready to play and the mental mistakes are a function of lack of preparedness. Ultimately, Jones has to separate himself from friendship and what is best for the program. TN has had the talent to run an H/F Offense, but we keep seeing the same tired approach that went out with Woody Hayes. My feeling is we should back this program as Jones does have it headed in the right direction. Mike Hamilton and Lane Kiffen haters can now step forward.

Dooley just didn't have enough time to fix his early mistakes and his second year mistakes and his mistakes he made at the end of his tenure. Just a little more time and?

This should remind all of the Butch haters just what a pile of **** the program was when he took over.

I'm not wanting him fired, but just because he followed Dools doesn't mean he gets a life time contract. He's been a good care taker of the program, x & o's is Not his strong suit.

This seems to be the way of the Vol.

Right now the most painful scenario would be for Florida to lose their next two, Tennessee winning the next 3 and losing to the freaking Commodores.

It definitely could happen. What could be worse.

yeah, well, that's your nightmare...not mine...good luck...:)

GO VOLS...RUN THE TABLE!

lol... I forgot how bad we were until this pic. ty

My reminding visual how bad we were was watching the return where we missed what looked like 14 tackles on one play, meaning some of the guys missed him twice. Worse single play in the history of Vol football IMO.

most painful: lose to Vandy, Missouri and Kentucky and lose to North Texas State in the Campbell's Soup Bowl and finish 6-7

Wouldn't happen. That would mean Missouri would have to play nearly division 1 level for a game.

I can't fathom why anyone would start this thread? What is its purpose?

You could say that for about 89% of threads on the FF since Sunday night.

No. That's the absolute worst scenario. But the emotional let down of only having to beat Vanderbilt and not doing it after everything else fell in place would crush souls

Pretty sure souls would be crushed losing to tech.....or mizzu

Dooley was by far the worst thing that has ever happened to UT.

well I guess the most physical painful thing would be to win out and Florida lose 2 and we have to meet Alabama again.....just saying physically it would kill us!!
