Our guys understand that the Missouri game is vital. It is an incredible test of the strength of character, morale, and confidence of this team. A win would vindicate everything they have been working and fighting for. This is the team's chance to prove that they belong and that they deserve it. This is an important test for the defense, for it to prove that it is one of the best in the SEC. This is an important test for the offense, for it to prove that it can move the ball consistently. This is an important test for the entire team to prove that they can eliminate the mental mistakes that have hurt them so much. Never give up and never give in. Go Vols.

I agree, but this game scares the crap out of me!!!!

It is awesome to be back to where the game actually mean something. I was so apathetic at this point last year, that I had no hope. GBO, beat Mizzou!

I agree........I keep going back and forth with "they should win it" because I look at Missouri's body of work vs the SEC this year and especially the past 4 games. Then I flip back to "they really could get beat" based on the fact that Bryant is due for a good game and they play well at home, etc. So agreed it scares me. But, I'm hoping with the week to recover, positive comments about practice this week, and this staffs ability to motivate we will at least come out with our heads on straight and take the fight to Mizzou.

This is without a doubt a very important game for multiple reasons. If we win big, or even if we win and it's close and a great game, the confidence boost for players and recruits, (and fans) will be huge. If we win but look sloppy, then it's still a good win and keeps us moving forward but there will be questions and some lingering doubt. If we lose, then it's just not a good look all around, unless we lose in a close contest but play well. But a loss will still cause doubt in the fans and recruits and even current players. No one wants to HAVE to beat Vandy just to make it to a bowl. I'm hoping for the big win, a win that says the improvement you're seeing is real. The corner has been turned and there is no slowing down this Big Orange beast. Go Vols!

It’s just the next game in my opinion. A win means a bowl and a loss means we have to win next week. Kinda hard to hype up a win with how bad Mizzou has looked and a loss isn’t the end of the world considering we haven’t played a complete game all year.

Vols win easy. Yes, it's a big test, but one we have passed the last 5 games, already.

All wins are good for everyone. All losses are bad for everyone.

Worried about this game have a bad feeling that Bryant will break out of his slump and play lights out against us. I don’t think we match up very well against their defensive line and we probaly won’t score more than 20. It would immensely suck to lose to Dooley again.

The defense usually does well when it can make the opponent be one dimensional. If Bryant is healthy, that could be a real problem.

That’s what’s so scary for shell shocked Vol fans, no?

I’m always worried about every game, but Missouri is always a thorn in our side. I know UT can win, but I’ll just have to see it to fully believe it against Mizzou. I’ve got family that are Missouri fans, so I’d like to see a “W” in this game as much or more than any other.
