And embarrassing the FO is not what you want to do if you're the coach. Love Joerger. I think everyone does, including the players, but proof is in the pudding is gonna come up at some point.

TBrown always makes fun of me from when I said Lionel Hollins is the Memphis Grizzlies. I said I wouldn't bring up that crap until the Grizz started losing to bad teams. :popcorn:

Looking like the Griz of 5 years ago, but having the Griz roster of last year's WCF. Ugh.

Didn't think a coach could make THAT much of a difference but I might be wrong, though it is still early.

This doesn't have much to do with coaching. This team went from grit and grind to lazy and entitled. They bought into their own press clippings. We're down 15 in the 4th quarter at home to a bad team and three of the five players on the court are *****ing at a ref. Marc Gasol has been embarrassing. He took a blatantly stupid and selfish fourth foul just because he was mad. He's constantly *****ing at a ref instead of doing his job. A defensive rebound every once in a while would be nice Marc. Top 10 player in the league? Anyone still want to argue that?

No effort. No heart. No grit. No grind.

Mike Miller is busting his ass but he isn't 25 anymore. Mike Conley has continued his ascent into the upper echelon of players in this league. I can take or leave the rest.

The whole place reeks of complacency.

Why did you get rid of the part questioning our intelligence?


Isn't a coach supposed to motivate and keep the team focused? Don't these issues point towards a lack of discipline?

They are professional athletes and grown men. Tony came to camp out of shape and Marc's conditioning is still in question.

Tony Wroten racked a triple double in a win over the Houston rockets tonight. Kudos to the front office on that one.

I think we shipped off some players that had good chemistry with the rest of the team. Perhaps that will come with this team, but we aren't seeing it yet. I wonder if it's more the coaching or the personnel maneuverings. Not saying Joerger is totally free of blame here. He has a good group to coach up. It's just when I see Calathes and Koufos on the floor at the same time, in the back of my mind I think 'recipe for loss.'

I definitely don't understand why five bench players need to be on the floor at the same time. The rotation needs to tighten and a starter or two always needs to be in.

Questioning the lineups. Which is a coaching issue. Yet, you say what's happening isn't a coaching issue?

What do you expect? The entire franchises history has an abysmal track record with front office moves.

I'm very disappointed in Memphis. I like the Grizz. I like the way they played. Their makeup was different from every other contending team. The window for them was narrow in the first place and closing fast. The coaching change closed it even more.

The new ownership is suspect and I hate it because it's fun seeing an underdog come up.
