The Memphis Grizzlies Thread

This might have been mentioned right after the game on Saturday but I am curious if the front office will talk with Lionel about his subbing and PT for certain players. I know he coaches by feel and is stubborn but I just wonder if management will talk to him during this series or do it in the offseason. I kind of feel like we are wasting this time/run that we have. Judging by Herrington, Verno, Parrish and some others, there is a lot of this sentiment out there.

Well there are some people (I dunno if in Memphis, where all the Red Auerbachs live) are saying the Hollins feels that his stock is high and he may check interest from other teams. He has responded to what the front office has said in the past this season though. Notice how he changed his tune after "Champagne on a Beer budget."

Hilarious at Hollins "stock being high" or him "checking interest" from other teams. I don't know how much more simple this can be: Lionel Hollins does not have a contract to coach the Memphis Grizzlies next season.

Hollins can gtfo. Never really cared for him.

It's like speaking Greek in here man. Keyon Dooling (who?) played more minutes than Tony Allen. Tony Allen played 30 seconds in the fourth quarter. Zbo played three minutes. Conley three minutes. Keyon dooling, six minutes. Get serious.

Would probably have an adverse affect.

Then, in the post game press conference, his stubborn ass is tired of Tony Allen questions so he scrapes together "Well Tony Allen can only guard one man" .. Actually Lionel, he can't guard anyone on the bench. Oh, and we only need to guard one man--Chris Paul.

Which is why I think if anything is said, it won't be during the playoffs.

Exactly. And I can't think of anyone in the league more capable than TA. Dooling? please..

Someone (one of the CA guys I believe?) summarized the gaudy stats that resulted from Conley guarding Paul on Saturday. It read even worse than it looked.

I disagree. Hold serve at home and it's no big deal. Easier said than done, I'm aware, but this puppies a long way from over. Assuming Lionel doesn't screw the pooch
