The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

Don't get me wrong - UT is the preeminent program in the state and Vandy is lower than little brother...it would be like UK message boards with a 6k thread about WKU after they beat us 2 out of 3 years. They had good teams while we happened to have some of our worst and they took advantage. UK fans don't trash WKU because things have normalized - they're back to doing whatever they do and we have our own thing going on.

Punching down is just a bad look is all I'm saying. Carry on as I'm sure you will but nothing looks more desperate.

Who cares. It's fun making fun of people isn't it?

UK doesn't really have a Vandy. UL is actually good at sports. They even got a former UK coach to make them "elite". We (UK fans) like to pretend UL is little bro, but on the field it's a nice rivalry. Meanwhile Vandy has been UK level in football and content to have a few good years with Stallings.

Why do you care so much to come in and tell people what they should or should not care about?

Do you make it a habit of going out of your way to post in threads about things you don't care about? It's quite simple, if you think it's a dumb thread......stay out of it.

I check in on VN during football season to get a feel for what people are talking about - I was shocked to see this thread was still at the top of the charts and so I said so.

Sorry it seems to get you mother hens so riled up

In order to be a rival, they need to win a few more games against UT first.

Kind of the same reason we don't consider Kentucky a rival in football. I mean, a 28-1 series is pretty lopsided.

This is exactly my point - I can understand Vandy or UK fans sweating UT (LittleCat does it all the time) but why should you care about them? You should care about Florida and Alabama...

It's funny how complicated you're making this, when it is pretty simple: some of us like making fun of Vandy.

They are only kind of a rival. In basketball, yeah they are one, but football not so much. But it's also a build up, at least for me, of 30 years of listening to Vandy fans. Make no mistake, they used to be more numerous and much louder, even though they still sucked.

Also, part of it is I'm making fun of their site because DonYates bans anyone who isn't a Vandy fan except for a very few token fans who almost have to kiss his behind to stay there.
