The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

Why would you do this after the start of the season? What exactly is a walk-on that comes into your program with no spring practice and already at least a week deep into season going to do for you when you play in the SEC? I'll give credit where credit is due I thought the lost list would be the dumbest thing I saw this week but then this came along and reminded me why you don't assume

Maybe this was on his list.

#21. Hold walk-on tryouts in January.

"Crap! It's already September! Oh well, better late than never, I guess."

The only thing I can think of that kinda makes sense is they'll do their best to have a couple real students suit up to try to draw a crowd like baseball did with stunts back in the day. Well either that or they have no idea what they're doing

Also, it took me 15 minutes to be blocked by Derek Mason on Twitter. The record as I know it is 3, held by Volga.

To be fair, they aren't clearing the parking lots of student until 4.

If ut had a game at home, during the school week, as a home opener, there would be tailgating going on despite the lack of parking. and as the one guy said there were open lots.

*let me also add, pretty much any P5 and definitely every SEC school would be like my above description.

And no, this isn't from The Onion:

“I had a sheet that I had been looking for for the past 18 months,” Mason said told the Nashville Post. “Lo and behold, about two weeks ago, it popped up. I found it in my football library of books.”
Mason said he had the list when he accepted the Vanderbilt job, but was without it this past season. The sheet includes a number of varying game situations and what Mason should do in each situation.
“I had already gone through that list and really remembered a couple of items on there that needed to be checked off,” Mason said. “Now, I feel really good about what we’re doing and where were’ at.

Expect a new and improved Vandy now that he has located his copy of "Head Coaching for Dummies"

I bet those other schools would create better allowances for such things.

Maybe Kathy Ireland will come out and kick for them, that would draw some players

These guys will play:
