Some of our fans, sure. But I think it would take a 4-5 year winning streak for us to reach the level Vandy fans got after just two wins.
And it was ALL of their fans. Living in Nashville, I know that they universally believed that they had completely surpassed Tennessee in all sports and did, in fact, own the state. After three football wins since 1982.
I love our fanbase. We hate Vandy so much that we're willing to go to their games against teams we don't care about so we can watch them lose.
It would be cool to see UT fans show up just to piss them off. My family has a vested interest though. My folks paid for 4 WKU degrees amongst my siblings and me and they have two daughter-in-laws with WKU degrees as well.
From Mr. Commodore himself that guy Don Yates over there:
"Good point GReaTDore. WKU had a very easy schedule and barely beat ODU. They feasted on weak defenses. I don't think we'll have a weak defense"
Let's assume they will be 0-for again in the SEC this year with the only difference being A&M instead of Miss St on their schedule. Their OOC this season will be way tougher than their cupcake schedule last year. Unless the team has dramatically improved which there is no evidence of, these fans will be in for a serious shock this season. I feel like we are constantly beating a dead horse here but their fans for the most part keep perpetuating this pipe dream.
But you will wear at least a little orange to that game won't you?Don't want you miss a great opportunity for additional "in you face" to Vandy.
I'm gonna be all red on Thursday and I'll be all orange on Saturday. I just hope going forward we can keep the WKU-UT matchups to a bare minimum. I have a degree from both so I always feel like I'm cheating on one when they play. I've tried to combat this dilemma by rooting for UT in football and basketball and WKU in baseball when the matchups arise.

good chance you go 2-0 that weekend.
I think it can be a dominating 2-0 weekend on top of that. This WKU team is better than the 2013 team that demolished UK by 18 pts and I believe that UK team is better than this Vandy team. I'm not predicting a Temple level blowout because I think that was an anomaly but if WKU walks out of there with a 21pt win I won't be the least bit shocked.
No doubt. I just see no way Vandy can score with WKU. If the Toppers have improved at all on Defense they will be fine here. Load up and contain the run and its over for the Dores.
If Vandy gets down early look out. They may throw 4-5 interceptions trying to keep up. Their best gameplan would to be riding Ralph Webb on about 35 carries and melting the clock
