I've spent a lot of time in Charlottesville and Richmond VA over the years since the wife is from there, and I have to tell you, several UVA fans that I have been around would look down their nose at you the same way most Vandy people do. It's not quite to the extent of Vandy, but there is definitely a heightened level of snobbery also with UVA people.

There is some of that to UVA grads...but I also have a Vandy fan in the family and he and his kind are unbearable so I'm going to go with the lesser of two evils here.

IMHO, Any road game we play this year we need to stay focused, humble and hungry. Then we will likely face a tougher team the next week at home against La. Tech.

Vandy's offense is less than impressive. I foresee a very MEDIOCRE topper defense to get out there and slow the dores down enough to let Doughty and the rest of the "O" to pull away. I doubt we hit 59 points, I think we hang around the 49 range, but we also hold Vandy to 26 points applying a bend but don't break mentality, which hopefully will work for week 2 as well.

Doughty is going to light Vandy up. He threw for almost 5,000 yards last year and 49 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Vandy gave up 218 yards per game through the air last year. It's not going to be pretty. Vandy might score a few on them but they won't be able to keep up.

True, I remember when UT beat them one year their chant after the game was, "You'll be working for us!". Quite humorous, at the time my husband (UT grad) had several UVA grads reporting to him.:)

So I just picked up a To go order from a Mexican restaurant and I happened to be wearing a Vols shirt.

This elderly man walks by and says "You gotta get the right colors on, you gotta be wearing black and gold, we're playing in the world series today."

I proceeded to tell him that was their only sport.

Once more he told me to put on the right colors, so I said I'm wearing the right colors.

Yeah I know, cool story bro. I'm just glad it wasn't a Bama fan like I thought it would be.

The old diamond in the rough standby never gets old. You know, because every VU recruit finds the same success as Jordan Matthews.

Ok guys, honestly, how the hell is Vandy a favorite against WKU? Unless Vegas wants money being bet on WKU covering. I just don't see it.

Maybe one of the guys responsible for setting the line is this guy from Vandymania who says the game against WKU shouldn't be that close and adds:

"A win gives the team a boost headed into a very difficult but not totally unwinnable game against UGA."
