The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

Please First TN, pleeease also become the official bank of MTSU then stop there.

They kind of already are. I used to work at the First TN branch a mile up the road from MTSU. They have an MTSU debit card and everything. First TN is slowly pushing Ascend Federal Credit Union to secondary sponsor level.

I thought that this was funny...

The last place Gagnon visited was Vanderbilt.

”I thought it was great,” he said. “I thought everything was good. They have a great combination of academics and football. I really liked the campus and football facilities.

”I had a chance to speak with coach (Derek) Mason and (linebackers) coach (Kenwick) Thompson. They told me that they’re a program on the rise.”

I guess turds do rise...I dunno.

They float for sure, then sink.

5dimes and againsthenumbers have set Vandys win total o/u for 2015 at 3 lol

3 of their OOC opponents are: Houston is at 8.5, WKU 7.5 and MTSU 7. Gonna be a long year for VU.

I think WKU will win 9-10, honestly. They have one of the best QBs in all of FBS and return 16 starters. They will beat Vandy the same way Temple did last year, if not worse.

i dont doubt it. WKU has some really good athletes right now. That offense they run is explosive. No way Vandy can score with them. They also added a few Juco transfers and a couple of UABs better defensive players.

Houston will wax them IMO.

If only Jay and Silent Bob were real and if only they were visiting Vandymania posters at the end of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

I agree, but I have to say that Temple game was epic. Nobody and I mean nobody expected that kind of serious beat down that was handed out.

7 turnovers. 7. the only other game that comes close imo was the Texas Arkansas bowl game. 59 yards.

At least with Texas and Arky, you're talking about two P5 schools with a heritage of being good programs.

It's Temple.

Temple...

from what i watched the 7 turnovers weren't really "caused" by temple. this was vandy being vandy and having a worse coach than Dooley.

whats funny is the betting line shrunk by almost 10pts right before the game. somebody knew something haha. Thats massive movement.

Doughty entering his 6th year at WKU. I'm glad we don't play them. Not because I think they would beat us but because the SEC and Oklahoma are tough enough without having to sweat a team like WKU. Their offense is that good defense not so much but some Saturday's are made for relaxing. Taggart layed the ground work at WKU and if USF cans him after this season he will make someone a great recruiter.

WKU defense will be better this yr. They bring back alot of players who were starting for the first time last yr. They added some good quality on that side as well. Plus i dont think Vandy can score consistently enough for it to matter. They couldnt score on their 2nd/3rd team in the spring game.

I just realized that Doughty is the same QB who threw three 3 picks against us in 2013, two of which went for touchdowns.

He must have improved greatly since then. At this point we would win comfortably, but our 2013 roster would probably lose to this WKU team.

That was the most bizarre sequence of possessions I have ever seen. What was it like 6 straight turnovers?

I want to say it was like 4 turnovers in 5 offensive plays that resulted in 2 TDs for us. or something like that. but yeah it was weird.

I think it was 5 in 6 offensive possessions for them.

It went:

Pick six (Coleman)
Pick six (Sutton)
Fumble (recovered by a swarm of Vols)
Fumble (recovered by Max Arnold)
INT (Brewer)

Randolph also picked Doughty off twice in the end zone.

His stat line for the day was 17/34, 222 yards, 1 TD, 5 INTs.

On their thread about the CBS lineup, "Initially, I thought that it was no big deal, as maybe it was the only conference game that week, but there is also LSU-MSU and UK-SC, in addition to non-conference OU-UT, so CBS must be banking on us being a bit better next season."

No, Vandy fan... I think it is safe to say CBS isn't picking up the game because Vanderbilt is playing. I'd say it has to do with Georgia being the biggest name of what games are left to choose from. I don't think anybody outside of West End is banking on Vandy being a bit better.
