And with every passing season/recruiting cycle the roster gets worse and worse. It's really garbage right now. But just wait and see how bad it is in another year or two.
I know this is a Vandy bashing thread but they need a system to be effective long term. they are similar to GT, and need a GT system where it doesn't matter that their class is filled with 2 & 3*. not saying they go triple option, but they need something different, unless they find another franklin they aren't going to win playing the big schools' game. maybe its an air raid attack with 6 small WRs out there. (yes i know its impossible) but as long as the big schools can treat them like another pro-style offense it is too easy to beat them
I propose, since they are all top notch scholars mind you, that they invent a time machine and travel back to 1890. That way they can enjoy all of those championships over small technical schools and service academy intramural squads.

I don't think they could beat sewanee back then, which was a power house in the 1890s. ESPN has called the Sewanee 1899 team the best ever.
Delusional vandymaniac to say the least... while referencing ESPN's post spring SEC rankings:
"Our non conference schedule is a little tricky, but all games are winnable. IF these rankings are accurate, our conference slate isn't that daunting. 5 of our 8 SEC games are teams ranked 9-13, and another one is UT who will NOT finish in the top 6 of the conference. They are overrated here. I'd put UT in the 9-11 range. So honestly, an argument could be made that 6 of our 8 SEC games are the lowest teams we could play."

When we went to Nashville for the game this year, we were milling around on the street they block off for "tailgaiting" (a sad representation of tailgating to be honest). We were standing next to the fence surrounding their practice field and football facility when we were told to move so they could open up a gate. We didn't know it, but they were opening up the gate to walk the prospects over to the stadium.
I would guess there was about 1,000 people in the general vicinity at that time. 850-900 were in orange or white.
The looks on the faces of the Vandy fans and the Vandy staff when they opened that gate for the recruits to see 90% Tennnessee fans stirring around... absolutely PRICELESS.
