They pretty much aren't buying it. One pot shot at Butch, just what you would expect from Vandy.

There never are a lot of quotes since they have such low activity, I would daresay this thread over the past year has as many posts as their whole board (not counting game threads). I sometimes check over there to see the meltdown and more often then not there's more of a fizzling out.

Anyhow...in more normal news...

Jordan Cummingham, the #1 recruit of Franklin's 2013 class, has officially transferred to Cincinnati. He only played two games this year, but he was expected to step up next year and make some big catches to help the awful Vandy offense.

Vandy's offseason keeps getting worse and worse. How can you pretend to be an SEC caliber team when your players are transferring UP to G5 programs? :post-4-1090547912:

their offense is going to be so garbage again. McCrary and Freeback are sacks waiting to happen. McCrary crapped his pants when he saw that UT pass rush and really against every team he played not named Old Dominion.

just wait till its not just Barnett and Maggitt coming for him, but he has to contend them along with Tuttle, Kmac, Butcher and Phillips :)

Most are brushing it off as coachspeak. One newbie was accused of being a Vol troll for saying Vanderbilt would have a tough time in the SEC due to high academic standards.

Of course, real Vol fans realize Vanderbilt has a tough time in the SEC because they have prep school facilities, a puny stadium, anemic fan support, a tradition of sucking that dates back to the 1910s, and a multitude of other reasons unrelated to academics.

Ludwig seemed relatively satisfied after the team's March spring game -- perhaps because he said it seemed "pretty clear in my mind where we are going to go" at the quarterback position, i.e. junior Patton Robinette.

Uh-oh: Robinette retired to go to medical school just days later, leaving the Commodores with just two quarterbacks who saw the field in 2014. Even worse: those two quarterbacks (Wade Freebeck and Johnny McCrary) went 6-of-14 for 69 yards, no touchdowns, and four interceptions in the spring game. Even with Robinette, the offense's longest offensive touchdown drive in that game covered two yards.

freebeck and mccrary are terrible quarterbacks. Freebeck's QBR last yr was a 5 lol. Yes, i said 5. Thats damn near impossible to do. From what i saw last yr McCrary is scared to death back there.

If you still don't realize that we have a top 15, OVER A 5 YEAR span, Offensive Coordinator walking the hallways of McGuigan and are still concerned about our offense not being competent, I am sad for you.

Never in the history of Vanderbilt University Football has there been a collection of football minds on West End ,that wasn't there to push our faces in, as heralded as the staff that will debut come August wearing a Star V. If there is ever a time to be excited about Vanderbilt Football, this is it. We may never have such a collection of coaches on West End again. It is truly ride or die time imo.

A true chameleon OC that knows what he is doing is THE #1 thing that VU has been missing on the field for some time now. Well guess what ladies and gents, we got 1.

Vandy's roster has zero talent. By far the worst in the SEC. It's comparable to MTSU's, actually. WKU has a superior roster.
