No idea. But I do know that Georgia Tech has an excellent aerospace engineering program, and if Paul Johnson had even bothered to offer Dobbs he would almost certainly be there.

From reading AJC during his recruitment, it seems both parties didn't feel he fit that offense. (Sorry no link)

He was committed to them for several months as I recall. He did the right thing coming to Tennessee. 5 bucks and an Aerospace engendering degree would have got him nothing but a foot long sub. :wink2:

Does MTSU have aerospace engineering? I recall meeting several Europeans in the 80s who were studying something to do with aeronautics at Middle.

Some Vandymaniacs don't seem too worried. Quote from last night, "Dobbs is so overrated. Like ndorefin said...he is not a good passer. He has to use his legs to be effective. He is seen as a savior because ut's qb options have been atrocious in recent years. I sincerely hope both ut and Dobbs keep the hype building. It will only lead to disappointment this fall. UT is not a contender in the east."

Flydore03 has a bad fever -
It's certainly possible, particulary if the lack of organization and attention to detail we saw last year carries over into this season.

My somewhat optimistic view is that this team ends up looking a lot like the 1999 team. Some serious talent on defense (potential to be a top-25 defense if safety play improves) and a maddening lack of consistency and big play ability on offense. Will scare the pants off a couple good SEC teams but come up short. A chance for couple SEC wins, maybe sqeak by UK and maybe UT, UF, or Mizzou.

With the schedule (including the boneheaded decision to go play at Houston in the middle of conference play), 4-5 wins is likely. Just not enough experienced talent at the skill positions that provides any confidence VU can win more. 6 wins would be an outstanding job by the coaching staff.

Squeak by UK, maybe UT,UF, or Mizzou!!!!! That's some funny **** right there. All 4 teams mentioned will slobberknock the duds and leave a steamy heap in their helmets. BTW, for such a, ahem, "highly educated 'dore", the dipsquid can't even spell a simple word like squeak.

cant wait to see the line in that WKU game. May be close to a pick' em when it comes out and Vandy will be at home vs a conference USA team ( Although a pretty good one )

They only think Dobbs is overrated because he always plays awful against them. I'm pretty sure he's thrown 5 or 6 picks against them in 2 years.
