The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

More infighting on Vandymania over the fact that Vandy doesn't yet have a single commitment for 2016.

LMAO, in the Robinette thread, they won't stop raving about the fake jump pass. "One of the great Vandy moments of All-time." Nice to know one of they're greatest memories came in the regular season.

I know some of ours came in the regular season, but they actually had importance, not just keeping a team out of a bowl.

A new employee was introduced at work today and his bio said he was a huge Vandy football fan. They asked if anyone else was also a Vandy football fan (I'm deep in gator country) and most people laughed while I actually raised my hand. He was not amused when he turned around and saw the power T on my jacket :)

I like that immediately the guy that pointed out the truth is called a Vol troll.

Of course to be fair, the same crap happens here.

I don't know, most of the time on here its because it's at least debatable. Its not debatable as to whether or not their class was terrible and at the bottom of the conference.

I'd say whether it's because the subject is debatable or not is mostly moot because resorting to calling someone else a fan of another school is pretty childish to begin with. Plus it's usually a last ditch effort when one is losing the argument.

I say this because when I've seen it happen, the discussion wasn't even about sports.

True. I mean, I'm not surprised. Vanderbilt and their fans' whole identity revolves around what Tennessee does and what they do in relation to us. They have no identity of their own. As a fan, that has to be such a sad, pitiful existence.

Do me a solid PJ and suggest that Vandy guy go engage in sexual relations with himself, would ya?

Priceless. What makes this super hilarious is that a few vandymania members have been reading this thread. We could really make this "so called" rivalry interesting if that ass-hat yates would allow dissenting opinions on his "Chet & Buffy" forum.

I haven't met a self avowed Vandy fan since the late 80's...and that kid got beat up for it...in Nashville..

Nah he didn't seem like a bad guy. Guess he just didn't pay attention to the room. I prefer to tell in person though

I will say is nice to have someone lower than me on the cfb totem pole. Only other one is my boss who's a gamecocks fan

Rumors that a "high profile offensive player" (possibly McCrary) is transferring or getting kicked off the team at Vandy.

Chris Smith, one of Vandy's Rivals writers, tweeted "Hello 1 and 11" and then quickly deleted it.

I heard that too. You know anything?

Nothing concrete yet. Just that whoever the player is may have grade issues and could be academically ineligible.

I will almost feel bad for Vandy if it is indeed McRary, especially after Robinette just quit football. Their QB situation will be the most abysmal in FBS.

Guess we'll get to see what Stankavage can do.

yeh it seems it may be academic the way they are trying to keep it under wraps. Who knows. i saw a thread on their 247 page where a guy was trying to convince VU to get Kevin Hogan to transfer from Stanford. Which wont happen. So it seems there is some worry going on. Has to be something to it.

Why does everyone think he is such a great hire? He's a 60 year-old re-tread who just got canned at Texas.

For some reason I can see this going the way of Dave Odom, Tubby once he left UK, and Johnny Majors 2nd stint at Pitt.

I may well be wrong...
