Vanderbilt Commodores 2014 Statistics - Team and Player Stats - College Football - ESPN
according to ESPN they only had 20 offensive TDs.
I can't see them winning more than one game this year and I love it. Here's to hoping APSU comes out motivated and gives Vandy a winless season :toast:
:flush:
Unfortunately, I don't see that happening. Austin Peay is equally horrible, and they don't have any D1 talent. One could argue that the majority of Vandys players aren't D1 talent, so that may even out the playing field some. I believe Vandy will win one game next season. They may can sneak out a win vs. MTSU, WKU, or Houston though. If they somehow manage to win 3 games or more, I'll personally be amazed.
ill be shocked if vandy is favored by any more than 2 or 3 pts by the time they play WKU and Houston. Hell, those games may end up as a pick em. The Houston game is at Houston. Both of those teams can beat Vandy and have pretty good athletes across the board. The houston qb is a great athlete and WKU has a great offense. Houstons Defense is not bad at all and Vandys Offense is truly garbage. MTSU has a 3 game win streak vs Vandy and they hate them
I didn't say they would win those games. I just said they may be at least competitive in them and possibly sneak out a win. I hope they go 0-12, but I don't believe that will happen.
Hilltoppers for the win on September 5th then Reality sets in again on the Commodore faithful.
If we don't pack Commodore Stadium we don't deserve to be a fanbase. The Commodore program is reeling - one, their is a so-called coach is lost as a carp; and two, the rape trial opened up some things that makes the program even weaker. Everyone I know who are Vandy alums/fans are embarrassed. Good thing James Franklin got away while the going was good. Hope it catches up with him soon.
WKU fans are already counting the Vandy game as a win, and a de facto "home game" (even though it's in Nashville). From Hilltopper Haven, the WKU board:
Saw this on VM. In reference to UT's OOC schedule this upcoming season:
"-UT- Poor Tennessee! Bowling Green with a talented James Franklin like coach will challenge a young UT team, but won't be ready for the hyped up 108k at Neyland (It's always fun at the beginning of the year before UT has lost 5). Then they host Oklahoma, and with as much smoke that those orange clad inbred blow it will probably generate College Gameday hype. They've got their 2 wins with North Texas and Western Carolina."
A. The meat and potatoes of team 119 is not that young anymore.
B. The Bowling Green game, which OP doesn't know is in Nashville, will have more UT fans than the home town team Vandy has in their little stadium that same day.
I've perused threads over on VM somewhat recently where they are predicting roughly 5-7 wins next season. I recommend visiting Vandymania when you need some comic relief during the work day.
