The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

The other day, I unloaded my truck and left the tailgate down in my driveway until the next morning. #outtailgatedVandy

If the times line up me and a crew of UT fans are going to watch us slaughter Bowling Green and then head to Vandy to watch them get beat by Western KY. Just need the games to happen at different times.

I'm anxiously awaiting announcement times for those games. Would love to have the opportunity to watch both my alma maters on the same day a whole 4 miles apart. If it works out, my family has been salivating over the pre-game partying we'll partake in that day.

In other Vandy news (about time this was mandated):

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Team benches will remain on the baselines at Vanderbilt's Memorial Gym, though coaches will be free to roam down the sidelines starting next season.

Vanderbilt announced Tuesday that the NCAA has mandated the coaching boxes will be stretched down one sideline starting with the 2015-16 season.

There goes the home court advantage.

No joke, in Franklin's first year they played Army on a Saturday evening. My in laws had a family friend in town so we were driving then around the Nashville area. So for dinner we decide on J. Alexander's on West End. We were able to get in and park easily.

After eating, we walked around outside and the family friend asked if Vandy was playing. It was pretty quiet and not anymore people around than a normal Saturday night on West End, so I said not that I know off. He pointed out the stadium lights were on and I said they were probably doing maintenance.

We start wallking towards the stadium on Natchez Trace and we notice scattered Vandy fans around and I start hearing the Vandy band and I realized in fact there was a Vandy game about to kickoff in an hour.

So that's how easy it was to blend into Vandy tailgating and not even realize it.

Their football board has like zero traffic at the moment.

It looks like there were a total of 30 comments made yesterday... not threads, but comments.

That means all of like 3 people posted there yesterday.

and 90% of those comments were either about UT or include one or all of the following: "UThug", "UCheaT", "bUTchug", or "UTee".

My girlfriend is in grad school at Vandy. I dropped her off at the library on the Saturday that they played Charleston Southern this year and drove through the campus.

This was about 2 hours before kickoff and if I didn't already know they were playing I would never in a million years have thought an SEC football game was about to take place. There were maybe 25 total groups of people tailgating and virtually no foot traffic on campus or near the stadium.

They didn't even have police out directing traffic on or around campus....because there was none.
