The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

looks like VN is having meltdown all of a sudden the last 2 days -- players leaving rumors, Tyndall geting fired rumor, the OC fiasco whats next ?

Vandy fans are grasping at straws and think Wharton's possible departure is a sign that UT is unraveling at the seams.

Things aren't exactly peachy in Commode-dore Country.

Over the past few days, T.J. Smith, one of their RB recruits, flipped to Arkansas, and Jackson Perry, one of their DT recruits, flipped to Dartmouth (Dartmouth!!!). Vandy fans for some reason thought they had a shot with Dylan Jackson, but he wound up committing to Stanford. Bradrick Shaw, a 3-star RB considered a lock by Vandy fans, just committed to Wisconsin.

On top of all that, Josh Smith, their highest-rated recruit, is apparently wavering, and at least one analyst has predicted he will flip to Oregon.

In attempting to explain why their "big recruiting weekend" was a total bust, Don Yates, rather than fall back on Occam's razor and just admit "It's because we're Vandy, we suck, and no one wants to play here," formulated a rather bizarre hypothesis: the recruits didn't get to attend any Vandy basketball games, and thus they didn't get to experience the atmosphere that is Vanderbilt athletics!

He was smart to pick Dartmouth over Vandy

The atmosphere that is Vandy athletics is playing in a stadium or arena that's one tenth full.

This thread is going to be amazing on NSD. Almost as amazing as UT's class.

Another year, another gigantic leap back into the abyss for Vandy football.

Oh, and what parent wouldn't want their 18 yr old son being involved in an atmosphere that is being described in the trial currently being conducted in the Davidson County Courthouse. Dang, it sounds like the whole team knew what was going on and nobody, N.O.B.O.D.Y. stepped up to stop it.
