The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

their fans absolutely crush anyone of their fellow fans that keep it realistic and admit this year there is so much change that it could a rough year. So much so that they get banned. Hell, their team has way more questions than we do this year. its never easy to switch to a 3-4 esp when you will be asking upperclassman and freshman who have played in a totally diff scheme their whole lives to all of a sudden play something new.

So few of them actually do that it's not much of a problem. I have been over to VandyMania a few times just because I find their inferiority complex with Tennessee so amusing. If any post gives credit to anyone or anything related at all to Tennessee it is immediately assailed with taunts and insults. You could say something as innocent as "Peyton Manning is a good quarterback" and get called everything but a decent person.

Gotta love the butthurt over there

Taking the quiz myself right now. Here's some of the questions:

I feel I have bragging rights when the Tennessee Volunteers beat the Alabama Crimson Tide in Football.

If you could remain completely anonymous and there was no possibility of arrest or retaliation, would you…

Trip the star player of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Trip the coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Trip a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Break the star player’s leg of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Break the coach’s leg of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Break a fan’s leg of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Hurt the star player of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Hurt the coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Hurt a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Good stuff.

You know the other half of this would be who does Vandy consider a rival? I mean, a rivalry would tend to mean the ongoing series is somewhat close. Bama/UT for example is 50-38-7, Gators/Vols is 24-19. Reasonable numbers so to speak (and I really want them reversed...)

But on the topic of Vandy, shouldn't you actually have a respectable enough record against your "rivals" to count as a rivalry? It's not like we would have to win the next 44 years straight against Florida to come ahead in the series.

So the whole premise behind giving a Vandy fan this poll depends greatly on them actually considering us a rival. They may think they are a rival, but I can't say the feeling is mutual.

The funny thing is, they think they're actually so much better than us that we're not even worthy of being their rivals.

They see UGA, USC, and UF as their true rivals in the East.

That is just one way of making themselves feel better about being irrelevant in their own backyard. It's a dig at us in their minds (however childish) to pretend they have "bigger fish to fry".

Which again is the premise that they very well may think of them as "rivals" but I'm sure most of them laugh at the notion that Vandy believes they deserve to sit at the big people's table.

8,400 at the spring game.

Wow, they sold out their stadium!!!
