Good read, thats how ive felt about him all along. Finebaum isnt serious. he doesnt actually believe all the things he says. It doesnt take much too get bammers riled up. and apparently hes making a lot of money doing it.

This is great! Everyone liked Tennessee as the whipping dog. It was okay if we won occationally but now it is hillarious to listen to these people whine and complain about the Vols. Now all Kiff has to do is whip some butts on Saturdays.

I'm getting tired of the local and national media trashing Lane K because he doesn't suck up to them or other coaches. He's going to remember all this in the fall, and some coaches will be eating crow baby!!!

That is a very good article. It is funny how we don't pay our coaches what Saban makes and Finebaum seems to trash us for making the smarter decision by paying Asst. Coaches more and cutting back on the HC.

I think we will see a lot more programs doing this. Especially on new coaches who haven't proven anything yet. JMO

CLK's approach just makes sense from every angle and I think that is what has all of these other programs going balistic. Satan and UM have to see the writing on the wall that when this proces works, it may cut into their wallets.

"These columns, especially Finebaum's, tell us that there are a lot of people around the SEC who are worried that Kiffin is going to build a
'very' powerful program. Other SEC head coaches seem extremely jealous that Kiffin has been given the money to hire an extraordinary coaching staff. And they are obviously very envious of the staff Kiffin has assembled from just about every standpoint, including recruiting, player development, NFL ties, on field coaching expertise, Xs and Os, etc. And Saban is probably livid about losing his best recruiter, Lance Thompson, to Kiffin. And many assistant coaches around the SEC are envious of the salaries UT assistants are getting, and also the opportunity to work under new UT defensive cooridinator Monte Kiffin, Lane's dad, who is a universally acknowledged NFL defensive guru and legend."....

This guy sounds like he's been reading Volnation...

Finally, someone in the media willing to stand up for Coach Kiffin and see/tell where he is trying to take this program. I for one can not wait til " It's FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE"
