We're use to the non stop media attacks on the President, Melania, Baron so now they of course are going after Trump Jr.'s hot gf anf former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle. This is probably the medias pay dirt, they get to attack Trump's family and Fox News.

Yeah, that is unfair. Donald Trump would never stoop so low as to be critical of the physical appearance of the wife of a political opponent now would he (such as Heidi Cruz) ? Also, I do not believe that any member of the media has attacked Baron as the OP claims. That is a disingenuous attempt to engender sympathy for the Trumps.

Specifically what has Melania done to garner what she's received?

As First Ladies go, she's been about the most non public one we've had in a long time. But yet, she catches hell for everything including doing nothing.

BB, I'm not going to say the old phrase of "I'll wait for your answer." I know you can't answer and won't answer. Especially given the fact nothing you can say can be defensible.

If there is anyone in Trump's Administration that's been attacked unfairly it's her. You and I both know it, though you won't admit it.

There are examples of her being treated unfairly. Personally, I think she does the best she can in a difficult situation. I think Melania's efforts to stop cyber-bullying are both sincere and admirable. It's just hard to take her seriously in that context because of her husband's behavior on social media and she has even acknowledged that. I think being a first lady sucks. You're damned if you try to make a difference socially and you're damned if you just sit in the White House and do your nails. Michelle Obama was criticized by Fox News for trying to emphasize nutrition in schools and take away soft drink machines. That's just how it goes.

Was that generated by members of the media or was that just mean-spirited scuttlebutt from anonymous internet yahoos? There is no question that stupid and cruel behavior exists down party lines and both sides are guilty of it. I just don't believe that members of the mainstream media engage in it. Do you remember how Rush Limbaugh used to tease Chelsea Clinton about her looks in the early 90's when she was 13 and 14 years old? That was pathetic too... but Limbaugh is also not a member of the media.

I think it originally came from the internet, but it was then openly discussed by the media. Rosie O'Donnell went a little too far with it too.

And, yes... I do remember the Chelsea/Rush thing. It was so bad that Limbaugh supposedly personally apologized. It's pathetic however it happens. These kids are already in a pressure cooker that they didn't sign up.

In the context of this thread, "media" refers to the coverage he receives from the 3 major networks (ABC, NBC, CBS), the cable news networks (CNN, MSNBC and Fox News) the major print media (The New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, Time, Associated Press) as well as the wide assortment of online political coverage. At least, that is how Trump generally defines the word "media".
