The Measles outbreak and RFK Jr.'s tepid endorsement of the vaccine

This is a real problem and shows what happens when you put people into these important positions who really do not know what they are doing.
You can thank Biden for allowing illegals in from third world countries but sure, post about RFK Jr. Lol

You know, I kind of wonder if LG is paid to generate content on here or has an interest in it. After all these threads he posts do generate a lot of discussion; I give him credit for that.

@lawgator1, come clean. What is going on with your threads?

Those South American Mennonites are the best kind. Shorter and darker than the North American variety...extremely good at work with plaster, drywall, concrete, swimming pools and anything else where trowels are used to create smooth surfaces.

There's actually a fairly decent sized Mennonite community in Mexico.

Good lord

"Kennedy, the health and human services secretary, wrote in an editorial published by Fox News on Sunday, that the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine “is crucial to avoiding potentially deadly disease.”

"Kennedy acknowledged in the editorial that measles — one of the most contagious viruses in the world — is especially risky to unvaccinated people. He stopped short of urging the public to get the MMR vaccine."

From your own stupid article.

Says vaccine crucial to avoid the disease
Says unvaccinated are especially at risk

And you start this nonsense
RFK Jr.'s history of discussing vaccines is more complicated than some of you would apparently like to believe. Since being nominated for Secretary of Health and Human Services, RFK Jr. has revised his positions on vaccines, and he has also frequently lied about his categorical opposition to them in the past.

His statement on the measles outbreak was more than adequate. And this chicken little act by LG is stupid.

RFK Jr.'s rhetoric on vaccines has dramatically changed, and he has just flat-out lied about making some of his former claims, which are on audio/video. It's understandable that some people would think that he has only changed his stance on vaccines because he wanted a job. Is RFK Jr.'s recent embrace, of at least some vaccines, a sincere change of heart? Who knows?

Your are wanting to have a conversation that isn't relevant to LG's thread. He's pooping his pants bc he doesn't think Jr's statement was adequate. It was more than adequate. Perfectly appropriate. It's Obama brown suit level hysterics

I remember during Covid the cohort least likely to get vaccinated were those possessing advanced degrees like doctorates. Damn MAGAs.
Table 2 says no:

The Mennonites I've seen in South America were pretty tall and blonde. There must be different subgroups. Where are the dark short ones from?

The craziest aspect of RFK Jr. being the Secretary of Health and Human Services, is that he is wildly popular with the MAGA faithful for the very thing he now insists that he is not :

A categorical and unequivocal opponent of vaccines.

The local Mennonite Church there has NOT told parents to get, or not get, the vaccine for their kids.

"Leave it up to the mothers" and RFK, Jr. saying "Its a personal choice" is the same thing. But RFK, Jr., is the head of HHS, he is THE spokesperson for the US gov't, and he's being at best non-committal about it.

Of course no one can force someone to get the vaccine. But when RFK, Jr.., makes a wishy washy comment like that, he implies there may be a reason not to get the vaccine, and no responsible health care professional supports that.

I therefore am not saying that RFK, Jr., must tell people "You have to get the vaccine," but I do expect him to say that its been around for decades, it works, and there is no scientific credible reason to doubt its safety.

He refuses to do that, it is irresponsible in the extreme, and it is a glimpse into the no, or at best pseudo-science, views of both RFK, Jr., and Trump.
