It is almost too easy to make fun of Va Tech. They do so much of it for us already. They named their team after an emasculated turkey. They actually have an empty trophy case to show off the fact that they've won zero national championships. They actually do the Hokey Pokey... during games. They all wear jorts. They jingle their keys when they play defense (also not making that up). They are the only fan base in the ACC that still tries to defend the ACC as a league, which is always hysterical to watch.

If you ever really want to feel appreciative of everything we have at Tennessee, go to a Va Tech football game.

Yeah, judging by the responses I figured as much. I don't mind making fun of that as much as a lot of VT fans do, I just can't respect anyone who makes fun of the shootings.

edit: Sorry BVols20, mass murder shouldn't be the subject of a joke.

I had no idea about the burnings, so hopefully others on here didn't either. I actually haven't ever noticed a difference. The pictures of the shooting are extremely low class.

It shouldn't even have to be said.

I only speak for myself but, I bet you will find out there are more that feel the same as I do, than don't.

Thanks guys, and I think I owe BVols20 an apology. I'm not sure what I saw the first time, but "hope we stomp em" with a Marcus Vick pic is certainly fair criticism, and nothing that VT fans are proud of.

That may be true but according to the the school's website the word Hokie was used in the original cheer and then adopted as the team name. The English professor who came up the word based it on an old English word meaning "Hooray"

They are the VA Tech Hoorays.
