The problem is a lot of the "fans" of the Falcons were more interested in going to see the game to see Vick than to actually support a team that is attempting to become a respectable organization rather than the joke it has been. The Falcons have never had back-to-back winning seasons. Right now is all the injuries are hurting them. I have confidence that Mike Smith and Thomas Dimitrov know whats wrong with the team and will correct it in the off-season and the draft. I just hate to see a fan base that is stuck on an idiot like Vick. He is a horrible QB.

Doubt it's going to keep going this way, but if the Falcons manage to beat the Saints with this patchwork team, they should renegotiate Mike Smith's contract tomorrow.

Good effort today overall, just too banged up. The team never quit, they were victimized by some terrible calls....the interference call on Grimes in the 2nd half was atrocious.

Saints find ways to win. A bye, and home field throughout will make the Saints tough to beat.

Saints are a great team but should have lost today. Abraham was being held all day and the Grimes PA call was awful. Refs gave the Saints the game, imo.

The refs were bad but I dont think you can blame the loss on them. The falcons just could not come through on that last drive. It was a good effort but they are just too beat up this year.

I can't believe this thread is so quiet given the gravity of tomorrow's game. It's just not that often that a franchise has the opportunity to achieve back to back winning seasons for the first time in their 44 year existence.

BACK TO BACK WINNING SEASONS! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I was yelling at the TV during the second half like it was a playoff game.

Baby steps in the right direction of a winning franchise. Its as clear as anything....in the off season fix the defense with lots of money.

Injuries killed this year as well.

Im happy to be a Falcons fan today.

So what do you guys think of Grimes? My roommate love his him and keeps hassling me because I jumped all over Grimes earlier in the year because of his size and the couple of games he had multiple PI calls against him. He has come into his own at the end of the year with 6 total picks but I still don't want him starting. On obvious passing downs, yes, he should be in the game but not on every play imo.

Word is that Julius Peppers is signing with Chicago later today.

Disappointing that we couldn't get that deal done, but the Bears are really desperate b/c they do not have a first round pick.

Falcons trying to court CB Dante Robinson from Houston...free agent....former GA Bulldog. Would be an upgrade over any of our shatty CB's.

Bears give Peppers $91.5 million dollars....wow. If this is what it took to get him, Im glad the Falcons stayed away.

Good pickup for the falcons, but he is a former cock fwiw. Funny that he grew up and played HS ball in Athens and ended up going to south click.

Peppers halfasses it way too much for somebody to give him a contract like that. Glad he's going elsewhere.

I keep hoping that Eric Berry will be busted for DUI or something so that he'll fall down to the Falcons at 19.

Falcons and Steelers have an old fashioned slobber knocker going on. There's some serious hitting going on in this game.
