Every game there’s some new people come up to me afterwards and talk about how entertaining and “nerve racking” it was. And I have to say I felt the same after seeing it for the first time a few years ago. I mean these kids are good! That's so cool. You've got a couple of ringers on your team, one being your boy. I'm in Mt. Pleasant...one day next season I might make the two hour drive to check it out.
We played Maryland game 2 of the season and were tied 0-0 at half. My QB throws a pick 6, and they decide to go for 2. My corner picks that and runs it back. We’re now losing 6-2. I put that same corner at RB and hit him on a sweep run play, he goes the whole way to take the lead 8-6 and we win the game.
Next we played Michigan State in the regular season and beat them 15-14 in double OT. My son went in at QB on a 4th down and hit our best WR down the sideline to tie the game. Fast forward to the playoffs, they were up 12-0 on us and getting the ball back to start the 2nd half. We ended up stopping them and scoring 14 unanswered to win 14-12 and advance to the Champ game. This team won 4 games by a combined 6 points. Some of the games were blowouts, but some of them almost felt scripted for a Disney movie.
