Salem's Lot is a classic. Don't forget Carrie, the Stand, and Misery. All great reads.

Most of King's movies were crap. I make an exception for Pet Cemetary.

BTW,

I just finished a book recently called "Hellraisers: The Life and Inebriated Times of Richard Burton, Richard Harris, Peter O'Toole, and Oliver Reed."

If you want to read something outlandish pick this up. These guys were true "drunkards" in every since of the word. Some great stories in it about the old days of Hollywood.

i read the book by him in fifth grade called dragon something and then read IT. Scared te hell out of me where he tore the boys arm off etc. But yes the movie sucked. The dark half rocked too.

Read IT about the same time. The movie was horrible.

I thought The Last King of Scotland and Turbulence by Giles Foden were pretty good.
