Just give me any bowl vs. any opponent. I want the extra practices. This is about next season, not this one.

I understand the extra practice time would be really good, and maybe its just me, but some if you should know the extra practices don't guarantee us a National Championship. Lulz.

Don’t take me wrong, I want a bowl game, ano5her chance to watch the Vols, more importantly all the xtra practice. Par5 of me thinks no 6-6 should go bowling because if you lose you have a losing record, no bowl team should finish with a losin* record. I know there’s too many bowls and not enough teams with winning records

Worry that Shurmur is going to have a big day.

The defense was pathetic last week.

If they do win, none of those matchups are good.

TX Tech and GA Tech run funky offenses that are tough to defend.

NC ST has a couple of future NFL players in Finley and Harmon.

VA would be the most attractive opponent IMO.
I like our chances versus any of the teams you named.

We're getting that with or without extra practices due to having a 'real football coach'. Extra practice is just for style points.

If we look really good doing it, I'll be ready to take on anybody. Haha.
Among a few other things, that's the one variable that has me so pissed when thinking about what ifs. Looked really good against AU and then.....We looked reallll good against KU and then....
suks but Big Orange it is, can't afford a new wardrobe !

I want the winner of the Ohio State - Michigan game in the Orange Bowl.

Assuming that Georgia, LSU, Clemson and Alabama are the final four.

If we win it will be Memphis no doubt. They would love to have us. We haven't been there in a while. Could do worse than New Years on Beale St

Now now, I didn't mean to start anything, I just read a couple of posts that just seemed like if we don't get those extra practices, we might as well close down the program.

We'll be very competitive, at FBS level. As long as we don't schedule SDSU.

I agree about the 1st half.

Games can spiral out of hand quickly and that's not necessarily an indication of the final score. I still think last week's game was lost early in the 3rd quarter after UT took the KO and scored to cut it to 9. UT had Mizzou 3rd and 6 and 3-4 guys missed tackles to stop them. They convert, go on to score, and the game was over at that point, IMO.
I think it was the inside kick. That's when I saw the game turn the part you mention was after that but the damage had been done.

To add, the team has been practicing for 10 months already, and the o line hasn’t gotten any better. Not sure an extra 10 practices is going to make a huge difference for this bunch.

Yikes. We will lose to all of those teams...

Virginia looked beatable today, even though they should have beat VT today, and Texas Tech hasn't exactly looked that great, hell they lost to Ole Miss who's terrible. Now GT I wouldn't want to **** with

IMO, the extra practices are only beneficial if the team gives a crap.

It's been proven over and over that a bowl game (with extra practices) isn't an indicator of future success. All the talk about the extra practices is coach talk because they'd like to be able to practice 12 months a year.

Is anyone still afraid of Georgia Tech in a bowl game? I’m not.

Be very afraid. GA and all those acc teams play them every single year. That helps tremendously in preparing for that tech offense. The players and coaches are able to build familiarity with defending that offense and can better anticipate their calls, style, and speed in which they execute that offense. Teams like us that seldom have to play against it or scheme for it need to steer clear of GA tech.

Good point. Maybe your right. Bring on Texas tech in the liberty bowl, but we have our hands full as we speak.
