i was on my honeymoon in St. Lucia. didn't see the game. heard about it the next day from a guy that watched it the night before in the Puerto Rico.

now have two kids, have changed jobs twice, bought two houses, sold one, and two children that have never seen us beat FL or Bama.

hopefully that will change as me and the two daughters will be there next weekend.

I'm no bandwagon fan, but I do enjoy my Orange Kool-aid.

My highs are higher than your highs, and my lows are higher than your lows.

I was a grown man at the Miracle at Notre Dame, Andy Kelly and his crew taught me a life long lesson, don't give up on a Vol football team. There were fans in the stadium at halftime saying "this game is over", only ND fans, all us Vol fans stayed and stormed the field, some of us even dug up part of their goal line.

2004 I only had 1 son , now I have 2 sons, 2 daughters soon to be 3 daughters.

2016 is a special year.

See y'all in Tampa.

I remember that ND game. I was at work and everyone was bummed about the game. We got off and as we were pulling out of the parking lot we won. Horns were blaring.

I was at the game. Found my ticket stub the other week while going through some things for a yard sale.

Face value? $38

Penniless, married, no kids yet, 97 marroon red Ford Taurus I called "the Bull," and about 4-6 weeks into my first year of med school at UT. Living in a 600 square foot apartment in Mud Island in Memphis off loans I signed my life away too from EdFinancial and Uncle Sam. Still remember sitting in front of my 33 inch regular def chrome edged Panasonic telling myself I would be able to afford watching wins against Florida in person one day...

I had to get a co-worker that had asked off to watch the game on TV to cover my shift.

Went like this:

Me: I need you to work for me Saturday.

Him: You know the only reason I'm off is to watch the game.

Me: Yep, but I've got a ticket to the game.

Him: You know I have to say yes.

Me: Yep, I owe you one, forever.

He's only called in the favor about 10 times so far.

Still worth it and I still owe him.

Last time we beat Florida I was like 10 years old and now I'm 22. The significance of this game is huge, and fans feel it. We CANNOT lose and make it 12 in a row, because we ARE the better team. I mean just think about this a moment. During this terrible streak against Florida our best years have finished with a 9-4 record. Before this awful run against Florida we were 10-2 consistently. I feel like this streak is a curse, but it's one that if we can break we can go back to being consistently 10-2 and reloading the roster with top recruits. This Florida game will either be a spring board to the SEC title game, or an anchor bringing us down to another 9-4 season. I personally believe if we get the right O-line on the field that we can beat Florida by 2 touchdowns. If not though it'll be a close defensive showdown. I'm stepping out on a ledge here and I'm gonna call a 28-14 UT streak breaking victory!!
