This could be a disaster thread or fun. Probably a disaster. Here goes. In 2004, I:

was 22
was engaged to be married (still married)
had no kids (I have 3 now)
played minor league baseball
had abs (still there, just covered in layers in preparation for zombie apocalypse)
had my mom alive
had no debt
ate Ramen noodles weekly (now only when my wife goes out of town)
had never heard of Youtube
had 1 dog (he's still kicking, plus my wife's ankle biter)
had a Lexus (now have a Hyundai)

Additionally -

George W. Bush was in his 1st term

Yeah! From Usher featuring Lil Jon and Luda was the #1 song in the land (that might explain our curse)

Nokia 2600 was the best-selling cell phone in America

The internet was sloooooowwwweeerr:
Dial-up: 34kbps
DSL: 861kbps
Cable: 2,178kbps

I'm sure I missed a ton. What else you got!?

George W. Bush was still in his first term as President of the United States

Ronald Reagan, Ray Charles, Pat Tillman and Rick James passed away

Boston Red Sox won their first world series since 1918

Derek Dooley and Lane Kiffin were still relatively unknown assistants

Martha Stewart went to jail

Facebook was launched

Friends ended

Lindsay Lohan released an album (this actually happened apparently)

American Idol was relevant

“Wardrobe Malfunction” entered the daily lexicon

This was the best selling cell-phone of 2004

That was the 1st game my wife, then just girlfriend, had ever been to. She's since been to 3 more, so 4 total. The games?

2004 Florida
2005 UAB
2006 California
2013 South Carolina

Shouldn't UT pay for her to have season tickets?

I was watching the game in a hospital room with my dad as he recovered from triple bypass surgery. Even on massive pain killers and tubes and chords hooked into him, he smiled in delight. His ticker is still ticking btw

D4h and iam4utalways weren't potty trained yet?

I'm no bandwagon fan, but I do enjoy my Orange Kool-aid.

My highs are higher than your highs, and my lows are higher than your lows.

I was a grown man at the Miracle at Notre Dame, Andy Kelly and his crew taught me a life long lesson, don't give up on a Vol football team. There were fans in the stadium at halftime saying "this game is over", only ND fans, all us Vol fans stayed and stormed the field, some of us even dug up part of their goal line.

2004 I only had 1 son , now I have 2 sons, 2 daughters soon to be 3 daughters.

2016 is a special year.

See y'all in Tampa.

I had just turned 18 and was a freshman at UT, hugging random strangers in the student section as Wilhoits kick went in. Also had never seen UT lose a game in person at the time.

Now I just turned 30, have a wife and a 2 year old, and have seen way too many losses.

Was in Pensacola, FL during hurricane heloping wit evacuation. Tried listening on radio until power was lost. CO of NAS Pensacola was a Vol fan and announced to the entire base that we had one while clean up was starting to take place.
