The last time Kentucky beat UT

Interesting thread. I was 26 and my wife was 4 months pregnant, so that means my oldest wasn't even born yet and hasn't ever seen the vols lose to Kentucky.

I was driving a fairly new 84 Monte Carlo that I ordered from the factory and got the factory incentive financing rate of 12.9% which was about 5% less than the going rate at a bank. I also had just purchased my first house that I paid $42,900 for and financed at the super low rate of 13.5%.

The good ole days weren't so good, the economy sucked as bad as it does today except it cost a fortune to borrow money.

I hear ya. I was 25 at the time. Worked for an auctioneer in the upper midwest. One farm foreclosure after another. Rayguns trickle up crap sucked back then and it really sucks today.

Your statement is not backed up by the facts of the economic boom that occured and lasted through three presidential administrations. I was 12 and Reagan should be on Mt. Rushmore.

Those farms didn't get into that much trouble in the three years that President Reagan had been in office at that time. Mr. Reagan cleaned up the mess that he inherited and set the stage for decades of prosperity.

Way to turn this into a political thread.

I'm old and it's been so long since they beat us, I no longer remember. I still don't expect to remember after tomorrow either! :)

Well guys it is hard to lose a game. Statistics man it is statistics. We will lose when it hurts the most.:loco:

I was 2 then. I still live in the same house as I did back then. I am 29 now and have lived in the same house my whole life. I was a Vol fan then but didn't know what football was yet.

I was at 2 of the last 3. I missed the 79 game and I was real young the one before that but the north endzone wasn't completely filled in yet

I have no memory of it, but if it was 1984 I was 8 years old and too busy playing sports in the yard and climbing trees. The first time I remember wanting to watch and remembering what happenened with the vols was the '88 to '90 Sugar Bowl against Miami. I think we were expected to lose and we won. My details may be off a little but I remember Andy Kelly, and then Heath Shuler. I was12 to 14 years old when I really started bleeding ORANGE. I guess that's why the last few years have been so tough to watch. I'm still hoping and praying that we have made the right decision with our coaching staff. Maybe our o-line will improve as well as our defense. Hopefully our running game will be better and our qb and receivers will stay healthy. I still believe Coach Dooley is our answer!!!! Another coaching change will turn us into Ole Miss, let's all hope n pray that doesn't happen.... VOL4LIFE!!! GO VOLS!:hi:

It was the year before I moved to Knoxville and became a Vol fan, so I've never seen it happen. 8 years old.
