Why did you want to get the Air (this coming from an avid Mac fan and user)? I've never understood why anyone would want one now that tablets are available.

I have a desktop and an iPad. I needed something that was a little better for content creation (writing) and that interfaced better with the online teaching tools I use. It is for travel and teaching use.

Basically wanted an ultraportable PC - the Air fits the bill perfectly.

It's not the most horse power by any means but with the SSD start up time is amazingly fast - 15 seconds.
