The Last Person to post wins XVIII

Atlanta was great back in the day, but nothing was as good as what came out of Memphis back then. Jimmy Hart, Jerry Lawler, Stan Lane and Steve Kern. Dallas was great, too. Funks, Von Erichs(sp?),...

The Undertaker (Mark Calloway) actually helped me with my free throw shooting form when I was 9 or 10 while he was in World Class.

Many of the younger wrestlers lived in the same short term complex as my family did. Mick Foley lived there as well.

OE The Midnight Express was in my town last year wrestling. SMH. Still out there doing it. In 95 degree heat in front of of maybe 20 people.

“RTV13 finds much better gifs than Souce ever did"

What an accomplishment.

tl;dr

never cared for the Watts territory....I did like Mr. Olympia's heel turn on (I think it was) JYD...he mighta turned on Dibiase, too.....Jerry Stubbs was a better worker than he gets credit for being.

ode skoo Memphis wrestling was good....except for lil Gulas....Sputnik Monroe deserves recognition as a civil rights leader, IMO....Rich and Idol made moho cry, so dey's dat

liked when the Welch/Fullers did Southeastern and Continental before Eddie Gilbert (great worker and talent, though) took the book....Robert Welch/Fuller has always one of the best creative minds in the business.

Cornette is a genius and a great podcaster....SMW was old school's last stand....one night in Ruby Tuesday's in JC, Sunny and Candido asked to sit at the table with me and my buddy because it was busy. Good times.

only podcasts I ever listen to are Corny and Ron Welch/Fuller

I have one of Ron Wright's blades he used in the ring. To make me mad when I was a kid he told me he used it on the Fullers a lot in Knoxville. Ron worked with my dad. He used to come over to the house and work on mowers/woodwork with dad. When I was a kid he'd do heel character stuff when he was at the house and I was scared of him. Ron was a unique guy in that he was able to maintain a heel character, yet survive in a full-time job outside the ring and was one of the nicest guys on the planet.

Ron's brother Don had a gofundme a while back because his house burned down.
