Speaking of buying groceries, I thought my wife was going to have a complete melt down in Walmart a couple of weeks ago. The self check out system was down so they were herding everyone to the cash register lines but there was still only like three registers open. The lines were backed up really bad. When she finally got up to the register the employee scanned in all her items but then hit the wrong button and errored out the entire sale and had to start over. I just backed up at that point so I didn't become collateral damage. I heard all about it for days after that....

I had fried eggplant for lunch. They cut the eggplant into small pieces and breaded it a la fried okra. It was a bit too salty but had a pepper kick that kept me eating it 'til it was gone. Accompanying it were pan seared green beans with caramelized onions and cherry tomatoes, and dirty rice.
