Meanwhile, the Lady Vols are performing appreciably at the SEC Swimming & Diving Championships. Yesterday, the Lady Vols took gold in the women's 200 IM, women's 50 freestyle and women's 200 free relay. Through 15 events, the Lady Vols are second in the race for the SEC crown with 393.5 points. Erika Brown stole the show and raced away from the competition as she set a new NCAA record in the women's 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.15, taking home gold in the event. Brown breaks the record set by Simone Manuel which was 21.17 and automatically qualifies for the NCAA Championships. It is the second consecutive year Brown has taken home gold in the 50 free. After two days of competition, Tennessee's collective medal count stands at four gold, three silver and one bronze. GBO!
