I’ve got him beat. We had to do New Math in the early-mid 1960’s, including doing arithmetic in base 60, a Babylonian/Sumerian thang that preceded the Egyptians. This was fifth grade. At least we didn’t have to do it in cuneiform on clay tablets.

That was about when my dad gave up trying to help me with homework.
