Same here. Fancy fruits and nuts weren't available 27/7/365 back then, even in my younger days. But they were in our stockings every year. One thing I always got in my stocking growing up was an orange. When I asked my parents why, my dad said it was something he and his siblings always got growing up and that it was special because they couldn't afford fruit like that very often back then. I thought that was a cool tradition and I've now passed it on to my kids as they've always had an orange in their stockings and will continue to do so.
I remember the first time I saw a Kiwi in grocery store. We all stood around and looked at them as if it was produce from Mars.Same here. Fancy fruits and nuts weren't available 27/7/365 back then, even in my younger days. But they were in our stockings every year.

My favorite OJ to this day.I remember the first time I saw a Kiwi in grocery store. We all stood around and looked at them as if it was produce from Mars.
