The last 10 years. . .

Given that choice I would stick with Fulmer. Those old enough to remember, know how much CPF has done for Tn. I remember the misery of Bill Battle.

So the choice is CPF or Battle uh??? I think we can do better than both.

BTW, CPF is approaching Battle numbers for years without an SECC.

Fulmer did not resurrect the program from the Battle years -- Majors did. Fulmer only built on the foundation that was already in place. I give him credit for taking it to a higher level, but he does not get the credit for rebuilding it.

yeap I would not give CPF any credit for the guys he recruited while he was a postion/assistant coach or for anything he did as OC.

Maybe fulmer will get a coaching job at MTSU or Ut-Martin maybe. He wants to stay in Tennessee so fine. Just not at UTK. Maybe we can transfer him to UTC.

You are probably correct. But why bash CPF in his final year as coach? Let's celebrate the good times and allow him to go out gracefully. All of the Fulmer bashing is irelevant at this point. He is done at TN. No way he can get it back at this point.

I will buy that he is actually done at UTK whenever he leaves. For now, I rule out nothing. It would not shock me if he gets a lifetime contract despite his losing ways. Do not forget he got us the championship in 98. We all laugh at Bama for surviving on the memory of the Bear and a lot of Vol fans are doing the same thing with 98.

Fulmer is still coaching in the 90's. The game, and most SEC coaches, have passed him like he is standing still on I-40. He gets out coached at almost every game. I don't think he has "coached" us to a win in many years.

Glad it's working for you. I still watch when I can and keep up with it. It's just not the same. :hi:

Maybe your different than me, but I'm still consumed with TN football, even though they pretty much suck this year. I can't imagine just casually "keeping up with it." I guess I would be considered a die hard.
