A new hearing is set for the ex-police officer charged in Perry County with threats after Charlie Kirk's death.

Still doesn't paint a great picture for the government. The fear was one of the memes was taken as a threat to shoot up a school. But the details don't seem to really match up with the claim. But it certainly wasn't just for anti trump memes.

So idk, maybe there is more to it, but for now it sounds like an L for the government.

Ok, in reading this story, couldn't read the first behind paywall, it signs like many on the community panicked and thought it was referencing Perry Co TN schools or at least some perceived threat.

It was certainly in poor taste, and I'm not sure he even connected the dots about the confusion his post could cause. I funny think laws were broken but the dudes a nut who wasn't thinking what he was doing through.

I think it's in poor taste for a former officer to post a meme about a school shooting in Perry Co, a county that shares the name of the one in which he lives not thinking it might cause people in that county to think or wonder if the statement to effect of seems fitting here or now from an ex police officer might cause panic or apprehension of some realized or imminent threat.

I don't think it's criminal but you would think a former officer might have the awareness that a post like that may be misinterpreted..

How has this guy not been mentioned one time on VN? This is an insane story that I've been seeing for weeks from 2,000 miles away. I've been wondering how this happens in America. It turns out it might be because his neighbors on VN don't care enough to even mention this gross injustice.

Fair enough. So at least some people in a nearby county got upset thinking there was some threat or incident based on his post? How long between the time he was arrested/charged and charges dropped?

This one seems weird.

And Phil Williams, I remember when he started sniffing around the gang intervention programs in Nashville hundreds of thousands of dollars went into that were being run by gang members and affiliates...... And then he got told to back off according to some people I know who are semi close to Funk.
