the lane trolling has begun.

It's an absolutely filthy game. I'm reminded of an interview I heard on swain the other morning where the arky coach said his trick was to cut the speaker wires on their side of the field to give them advantage. alabama blasts you with laser beams. any advantage matters. get filthy. it's a dirty game, and every one else is playing you dirty.
I think your looking a little too deep into this. First off Barstool came up with the idea or at least brought it to attention on Tuesday. Reddit cfb stole the idea on Wednesday. Lane quote tweeted it later yesterday. GoVolsXtra goes full hyperbole and say's "Kiffin asked ESPN to have the manning brothers call the UT-Ole Miss game". Kiffin didn't ask espn to do anything unless you consider the people that tweet millions of things towards espn as asking them to do something. Kiffin lives rent free in Knoxville's head.

It's not trolling. It's recruiting.

He's trying to recruit Arch Manning and getting Peyton and Eli to announce for the Ole Miss-Tennessee game that ... let's be honest ... Ole Miss is likely to win, is a great recruiting tool. That said, it's probably good for us, too. Ole MIss and Tennessee are the two schools with systems that would best fit Arch.

I’m all for it. Don’t think that’s trolling in the least. Good stuff!

Not trolling, he’s smart. He knows that it will help hype the game, bring in viewers and get a prime time spot for him to show off his machine to recruits. Sadly, we would be the victims in this scenario.

Peyton should only give commentary to describe how Ole Miss sucks, and vice versa.
The two brothers trading barbs about each school would be hilarious.
Eli: You want to talk great tradition. Ole Miss has the best tailgating at the Grove.
Peyton: yeah, a shame you suck during games. Ole Miss is still only Western team not to win Division

You can see how much lane regrets leaving UT I believe the last 10 years would have been much better had lane stayed and he knows that… him leaving so quickly is what truly sent UT on this path. I think Heup will have the team ready to go vs ole miss the question is will we have a Qb playing at a good level I think someone will have developed and separated themselves… I’m not saying we beat ole miss but I see it being a tough game.

Would love it, but this year, wouldn't wish that on Peyton. Think it likely would be hard on him. Eli loves to tease big brother and that game will likely give him plenty of ammunition. Unfortunately. :(

Agreed
The only "funny" part was Eli commenting on the shiny forehead

Only people who don't understand ANYTHING about football liked it bc they "taught" what formations and defenses do
Not true. I know several people who watched it and enjoyed it. All of them at least as knowledgeable about the game as you. I liked their banter

UT was on this path years before Lane arrived

No.

Kiffin likes to troll because he knows there’s dumb Vol fans that worship him.

He doesn’t “regret” anything.

Yeah he does regret it usc was a disaster for him and he was set up for great success at UT… no matter what he does at Ole miss he knows it will never compare to what he coulda done at UT… I mean he is still highly successful and millionaire so regret may be a strong word but if he coulda kept UT as a top program he knows his status as a coach would be up there with the greats…

With Tyler Bray, Bryce Brown, and the gang he may have won a Natty.

Not with Nick Saban still coaching
I didn’t REALLY mean that I have a tendency to exaggerate sometimes lol

But maybe... after all he was a blocked FG away from beating Saban in his first attempt. And that was with 2 walk-ons starting on the OL and Crompton at QB. One can only imagine what he’d of done with his own recruits. Unfortunately we may soon find out. He’s got OM rolling.

Business took me there in one of those once in a lifetime experiences where I took advantage. However, there still is visibility of American presence there from WWII.

Is that the island out there that Microsoft sponsored that global warming / sinking island video years ago claiming the whole thing was flooding bc of melted ice caps etc?
