The Lane Kiffin show...

Nothing about Lane reminds me of Fulmer nothing

If he does not start off 82-18 in his first 100 games with two SEC titles and one National Title he will never remind you of Fulmer. Fulmer had 47 wins before he had 5 losses. So I guess 5-5 is a bit unfamiliar to you. V,B!

I'm watching the LK show now and I like Chaney more every time I hear him talk football- I think we got a really good one in him!

His record won't be as good as Fulmer's when he started. When Fulmer took over the program the talent was already in place and the rest of the SEC was not near as talented. Kiffin will be fine but we have to be patient.

+1 I was going to reply to the DAs but you said it best. I was in my mid 20s in the early 90s and Majors left punkin a crapload of talent.

Does that include not even going onto the field when he has a seriously injured player?

I doubt it...

funny...I didn't see the little coach checking on his linebacker while he was enduring his season ending knee injury. Why dont you make like a Bama coed and blow.

Was there any mention of Lamarcus Thompson?I didn't catch all of the show.

CLK didn't mention him in the show....but, he was evaluated and returned with the team that night....Lamarcus said he is doing ok and there doesn't appear to be anything major....

While Hightower's injury wound up being season ending... at the time, he got up after the play and then sat back down... so it didnt appear to be LIFE THREATENING.

However, when the stadium is silent and 30 trainers are out on the field... that is a completely different situation.

And what is the coach going to do?? Run out and use his extensive medical abilities to heal Lamarcus on the spot? I can tell you from experience when your leading people in endeavors that frequently result in injuries, some of them serious, you allow your medical staff to do their job and concentrate your own efforts on all of the others that are not injured but are still looking to you for answers.

If you think that his actions and statements reflect your University properly, then I guess that is all that matters.

Honestly, that loss is ALL on your Coach. I was at the game...stayed in Memphis the night before at the Marriott..turns out it was the UT Vols team hotel..I don't belive that the team went to Oxford for a pregame walkthru.. that isn't the worst...

On game day..Saturday...with an 11am kickoff...the UT team left the hotel at 8:15..arrived in Oxford at the stadium at 9:45am..I know I followed the bus caravan all the way down..so in the next 60 minutes...players had to exit bus...get dressed/ taped...warm up and be ready for pre game activities that start around 10:50 am(color guard, National Anthem etc..)..

The first UT players didn't get on the field for their warmups until almost 10:15, some didn't make it until 10:20 or later. Not much prep time..
Very poor coaching preparation most likely lead to the outcome..Just the facts guys...

FYI --for the 3 minute walk thru the lobby of the hotel and bus ride to Oxford, LK waltzed out of the hotel dressed like a pimp, expensive suit, sungalsses, briefcase with the team in tow in the warm ups..What was that about??

dude you just dont like him. There is zero evidence here to support your argument. If you want to pin this loss on the coach fine...but at least have something to point to that makes sense.

If thats normal--- then...

About the clothes...Hey..he's your coach..If he feels the need to geeked up for the 3 minute lobby walk it speaks volumes about his personality.

Just sharing facts about what happened. Reality bites!

they're facts that have nothing to do with anything. Kiffin wore a nice suit? The horror!

You're really reaching for something here that just doesn't exist

Have you ever been to a game in Knoxville, and seen the Vol Walk? And, how is wearing a nice suit and sunglasses dressing like a pimp?

Okay..the suit thing is significantly secondary to the REAL point about the prep time or lack thereof.

Bye.
