I love Krystal. They did not have them in this area until a couple of years ago. Now there are only 2 in the DFW area that I know of.

That made me laugh out loud. Glad I didn't have a mouthful of beer when I read that or my sinus cavities would be burning. But anyway, they have been closing down Krystals here in Memphis that have been around for decades. Was around 15 of them, now about 5 or 6.

Tonight on the way home from the pub: three cheese Krystals, two Krystal Chiks, large fries. A corn dog for the boy. I don't know how you can drink seriously and not have Krystal (or equivalent drunk food) nearby.

(And yes, that's the kind of dad I am: bringing drunk food home for my three year old. I either need to win an award or have my child taken away.)

I have had many good and strange times at that Krystals in the wee hours of the morning.

I lived in the fort my senior year and we walked down from a party at about 1:30 in the morning. There was a guy standing in line that had obviously just gotten his butt severely kicked. His face was bleeding pretty good. He was just standing in line nonchalantly waiting to order. Then the cops showed up...

what year was that? that might have been me. I miss Krystals. After years in Houston and now in Arkansas, well, you dont know what you had until its gone.

Following a beating by the dawgs at Neyland some friends and I stumbled into the Krystal at Pigeon Forge. No exaggeration...we were surrounded by Dawg fans and the line was at least ten deep at two registers.

It was about 12:30 am, and I overheard the manager calling employees to come into to work. Krystal has employees on emergency call? Afterwards I wondered if they needed a giant K spot light to shine on the hills of Gatlinburg. Kind of like the Bat signal. If you see the K you better come to work!
